“Do not be afraid of holiness. It will take away none of your energy, vitality or joy. On the contrary, you will become what the Father had in mind when he created you, and you will be faithful to your deepest self. To depend on God sets us free from every form of enslavement and leads us to recognize our great dignity.” Pope Francis, Gaudium et Exsultate, 32.
“To be out of relationship with God distorts and destroys our nature. To be in relationship with God heals and perfects our nature”

“Jesus then said to those Jews who believed in him,* “If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8: 31 - 32
“Living with habitual sin is like renting a place in hell, and the monthly payment is your time, energy, and joy.”
“When, in God’s presence, we examine our life’s journey, no areas can be off limits. In all aspects of life we can continue to grow and offer something greater to God, even in those areas we find most difficult. We need, though, to ask the Holy Spirit to liberate us and to expel the fear that makes us ban him from certain parts of our lives. God asks everything of us, yet he also gives everything to us. He does not want to enter our lives to cripple or diminish them, but to bring them to fulfilment.” Pope Francis, Gaudium et Exsultate, 175
