5. Crash Course in the Cardinal Virtues
JonMarc introduces us to his spiritual passion — the Cardinal Virtues of Prudence, Justice, Courage, and Temperance. The virtues are absolutely crucial for "elevating" the ordinary opportunities of our lives into moments of growth and grace and so we wanted to take an episode to flesh out these concepts and begin to discuss how they are or may be integrated into the day-to-day.

Show Notes
Prudence — A right response to reality. Prudence is the mother of all virtues.
Justice — Giving to each his due. To assess justice in your life, ask questions like "What do *I* owe the people with whom I'm in relationship?" "What would it look like for me to live a just life? To give God his due? To give my spouse/parents/neighbors their due?"
Courage — Doing the hard right thing, because it is right. Courage must be informed by reason (Prudence) to be courage.
Temperance — Ensures the will's mastery over instincts and passions. Temperance is the charioteer's command over his horses, with the horses being your passions. The horses are good, but must be guided or controlled to achieve the right end.
